Yes I do... Sweet Monkey Ass... I said it around Steinberg's ex-girlfriend Holly and she started saying it to her friends and it became known as "SMA". They even got t-shirts made.

There is a time in your life where you will hit... actually I think this happens a couple of times... but you hit this mark and you realize "wow... I am grown up".

I think it hit me on sunday when I was looking at my band's website and realized something funny... there were gigs posted. Yes I was surprised as you since I hadn't heard anything about these gigs. We had taken some time off to allow myself and the lead singer to get married, and such. Well I guess they decided to start back up, but did not inform me... and it appears I am now off the website, bio etc gone. No email, phone call, nothing.

Yeah I am saddened because a chapter in my life is closed, a chapter that was really great and really fun, but at the same time I probably wouldn't have started back up anyways. I am a different person now, I led worship at church that night, I don't drink anymore, I'm just... grown up.

In approx 3 weeks I will be a father for the "first" time... well biological father since I have a step-daughter but we never use the word step. I now have responsibility to human beings that last for the rest of my life... how did this happen? I don't know... I'm just... grown up.

Now I am in no way throwing in the towel on life; because my life now is great, just great in the way that potty training and tricycle riding excites me, not the alcohol and drug induced comas of yesteryear or the kick ass parties at The Shack.

I guess I will probably have a few more of these revelations in my life when chapters are closed, it will probably happen just as Ada talks about... it's the little things like when you put away kid clothes that are to small etc., or when I all the sudden have a job where I have people under me, and I am considered management... or I have a retirement fund that has large amounts in it... and I will wakeup once again and wonder "how did that happen".... it just does... it's called... growing up.

Hi, my name is J.J. and I never post anymore... Why? beats the hell outta me... just don't have the drive like I use to.

My life really is pretty damn busy... my daily schedule is as follows:

6:00 am - Alarm clock goes off and I turn on Mix 92.9
6:45 am - Get in the Shower
7:10 am - Get out and get breakfast
7:32 am - leave for work
8:01 am sit at my desk and work
5:30/6:00 pm - Go home
6:00 - Stop by the market to pick up the nightly meal

That means that by the time I eat it is 7 pm and I then only have about 4 hours to do whatever else I was going to do in the day... be it TV, Talking to the Fiance or doing computer work (still have web clients).

In other news I got a new iPod... 40 gigger was on clearance. Hated the headphones so I got some snazzy Sony headphones... $50 for earbuds was a little much but they are comfortable as hell. I now have my whole collection of songs in one place.

Been going to see Elaine about once every 3 weeks. Racking up the southwest credits since they do double credits to midway and also double credits with Dollar rent a car.

Ok that is about it... gotta get back to work.

I made london broil with mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, mushroom gravy and caeser salad.

Watching the Colt's game in HDTV with the laptop in hand curled up under a blanket.

Would be much better if Elaine was here but only 5 months to go.
